My comments on tutoring English ESOL : I teach according to the international methodology CELTA , but I try to find individual approach to each student to make the studying more productive for the student. I like to use different supplementary materials to make the lesson more interesting.

I have tutored in Reading for elementary students. I have also taught Psychology for over four years at two community colleges. I taught many students with diverse backgrounds. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. My vocabulary, spelling and reading skills are very strong. I have utilized this in different jobs and volunteer positions I have held. My style is student centered. I always try to provide a positive atmosphere for learning. My jokes were a technique to help accomplish that goal. As a GED teacher I always began with a pretest and documented student progress to correct any deficiencies.
