My comments on tutoring Literature : Qualified in this subject by WyzAnt. As an avid reader of classic and modern literature, I am well versed in both American and European literature. At one time I obtained a bookmark from Barnes and Noble Bookstore which listed the 100 most admired works of literature. I had read 86 of those listed.

In my teaching, I make every effort to engage the attention of my students. While covering the subject at hand, I bring into my lessons references to a spectrum of other subjects when relevant such as historical context, cultural elements, literary allusions, modern and historical implications and facts and trivia relating to the subject which I believe will not only be of interest to the student but will also provide a more rounded appreciation of the benefits of a wide ranging education.

As a teenager, I learned the importance of having role models, both in and out of the classroom. Some of my biggest influences are old teachers and coaches. After I graduated high school, I attended the University of Florida, where I majored in Telecommunications, and had an outside study in English. This led me to substitute in Marion County for a year.
