I have private tutored almost all throughout college, mostly because I had many international friends in desperate need for English help. I taught English in Korea; the first 5 months being beginner English (to preschool to fourth graders) and the last 7 months I taught actual subjects children in America learn but at advanced levels (from 3rd grade to late middle school). The way I teach is different for every grade level. I check out the book, get to know the student and find a path to which the child can learn easily and find the subject interesting, no matter who the student is. I don't give up easily. I am a fervent believer of Gardner's mutiple intelligences, because I know that each person has a unique learning style, and unique interests. Therefore I will do all in my power to discover each and every student's learning preferences, so that learning becomes a responsible, joyful experience. I was an exceptionally driven high school student, taking the most difficult schedule my small private school would offer. My course work included AP calculus and AP US government, on both exams I received good marks. In college I studied a wide variety of classes in pursuit of a degree in the liberal arts.
