Each time I have taught a different age-level I have sought to accommodate myself to the learning style of that particular level, whether psychokinetic for kindergarten and preschool, audio-visual for lower elementary, or verbal-phonemic for upper-level students and adults. It was in the teaching of adults that I encountered my most challenging situations, and even today the pedagogy is not nearly as simple as would appear at face-value. Reference to Ken Pike's tomes on the fundamentals of tagmemics, James Stanfield's affective pointers for students of various emotional statuses, and even the philosophy of Noam Chomsky on English deep structure, were all consulted early and often and at one time or another throughout my career.

I enjoy teaching and working with childrens. I remember of a handicapped student that I have tutored one year ago because he was late behind other students in his class. It was my first time to tutoring handicapped students. When his parents have called me to teach their son I didn't say no to them because I told myself that all children can learn but only in different ways. And I have started teaching him. A Little Bit About Me...

I began working with children who were diagnosed with autism my first year of college (I did this for 7 years). I felt a sense of accomplishment as I watched them grow as people. I realized through these experiences that I wanted to help people learn and become accomplished. Later, I decided to student teach in graduate school. I taught three different writing courses over three years, including this past year as a part-time instructor. While I enjoyed my time teaching in a college classroom, I found myself making the most headway during conference time. In addition, I also worked as a writing tutor at MU's writing center.
