My comments on tutoring Math : I formerly tutored intermediate algebra at Ohio University Chillicothe and have professionally tutored junior-high and high-school math as well.

I have professionally tutored Math and English as an employee of Ohio University, in a private junior-high and high-school academy, and on an individual basis. I taught a semester of Elementary French at Ohio University in Athens. I am always willing to tutor any subject, but my greatest academic strength lie in language learning. English has long been my strongest subject, and I am fluent in French as well (please see the comments in my subject listing). Excellent, Engish-1st-Language Math, Science & Music teacher

I am a laid-back, personable and practical instructor with a knack for simplifying math terminology down to everyday language, skilled at translating what appears to be a complicated concept into it's most basic, understandable form. I attempt to explain why something works the way it does because a student having that understanding will help him or her retain and be able to use the concept. I graduated from high school in 2005 and was 12th in my class. Out of high school, I worked as a pre-school teacher with children ages 1-8 years. I attended Ohio University Athens for Speech Therapy for four years and am now finishing my undergraduate degree online. While in college, I took many child development courses and english courses because I find both to be so much fun to learn about. I also took classes in Math 1, Pre-Algebra, Algebra and statistics.
