Learning is serious, but that doesn't mean it has to be grim

I have a Texas Teaching Certificate for K-8, all subjects. In addition to teaching elementary school I taught courses at the University of Texas in Austin in the undergraduate teacher education program. I supervised dozens of student teachers at UT, and have spent the past 17 years conducting professional development for educators (teachers, curriculum directors, principals and superintendents) in the field.
I encourage higher order thinking, and help students learn to become self-directed and independent. Not only will your child develop greater skills and knowledge in each discipline, he/she will develop many specific thinking strategies and skills which they will apply in the classroom and throughout life. Live, Laugh, Love

I do private one on one tutoring where the child will have a greater opportunity to learnt he material
I work at the Boys and Girls Club where I am the poetry teacher. I haver also been tutoring for 5 years and I am great with kids. I tutor in many subjects but my strongest subject is English and Literature. I also tutor any grade level. I enjoy helping kids learn and understand their material better. I also enjoy having them feel a sense of acomplishment.
