I believe in teaching all subjects using innovative methods that are tailored to the specific student. I have taught C++ programming through the use of robots, chemistry with cosmetics, and physics with music. I begin by listening to the student and understanding exactly what level they are at. I then develop a plan of action to get them to the level they need to be at for the grades they want. I don't believe that there is any such thing as a dumb question, only ignorant teachers. As such, my sucess is not based off of how well I explained the subject, but on how well the student understood. I use the scientific method of teaching. My style is Socratic. I believe, as Rene Descartes did before me, that human knowledge is innate, including our ability to learn and use language. I teach children to learn by given them the tools they need to think logically and abstractly. Life is dynamic, what happens today, will likely change tomorrow. I also had the opportunity to teach a level 1 accounting class for community education.
I don't think I have really developed a "unique style" by only teaching a year or so.
