A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very student friendly. I engage the student in working out easy examples, which provide an illustration of fundamentals. Part of my process is to "walk through" an example with the student, showing them a process to solve a given problem. I then assign a problem for them to work out. This resembles a test-like environment where the student can figure out what he/she does not understand.
As a MSU graduate, I have experience in math up to linear algebra and abstract algebra. This includes calc 1,2, and 3 as well as differential equations. I also have taught at Michigan State University's Champ program, which is where I tutored algebra and geometry to advanced high school students. I went to public schools in East Detroit, Michigan. In eighth grade I set a personal goal to attend the University of Michigan. I never had private tutors. My strongest subject is math. Mr Learmont, my junior high school history teacher would frequently say, "Take care of these books and these books will take care of you." It was that inspiration that raised me to love learning and in turn teaching others.

I have earned a bachelor degrees in Electrical Engineering and minor in mathematics in 2004. I am currently working on my master degree in Electrical Engineering at Oakland University. While I was doing my bachelor degree, I had a job in the computer lab as tutor and mentor for students in C programming assignments and Unix lab related problems. I worked at Chrysler LLC from 2004 to 2010 in the information technology department as a Datacenter Facilities Engineer, I was in charge of training and orientation of new emplyees on networking, plant technology maintenance and union compliance.

I have been on dean's honor list several times, and was a scholarship recipient for my entire masters degree. I am currently a computer engineer, working towards my doctorate in computer engineering.
