My teaching style is very student friendly. I engage the student in working out easy examples, which provide an illustration of fundamentals. Part of my process is to "walk through" an example with the student, showing them a process to solve a given problem. I then assign a problem for them to work out. This resembles a test-like environment where the student can figure out what he/she does not understand.
As a MSU graduate, I have experience in math up to linear algebra and abstract algebra. This includes calc 1,2, and 3 as well as differential equations. I also have taught at Michigan State University's Champ program, which is where I tutored algebra and geometry to advanced high school students. A Little Bit About Me...

I went to public schools in East Detroit, Michigan. In eighth grade I set a personal goal to attend the University of Michigan. I never had private tutors. My strongest subject is math. Mr Learmont, my junior high school history teacher would frequently say, "Take care of these books and these books will take care of you." It was that inspiration that raised me to love learning and in turn teaching others.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching and I find it interesting to see how each one of us may need different way of explanation to understand the same problem. I feel that over time, we all tend to develop our own way of solving problems, which is really an indication that we are ready to solve the problems on our own. So when I start teaching someone, my first step is to help them develop an understanding of the problem, as a major part of solving a problem lies in a good understanding of it. Once students have a good understanding of a problem, the solution becomes much simpler.
