My education background began in 1990. That year I earned my AA in education from Scottsdale Community College in the area of education. In 1992 I received my BA from Arizona State University in education. I began working in the Balsz Unifed School District in 1992 and was employed as a special education teacher in the Balsz district for 12 years, and three more years in Prescott, Arizona as we had moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Prescott, Arizona. I hold Arizona state certifications in regular education K-8; special education K-12 and emotional disabilities K-12. I am highly certified in these areas and hold a bachelor’s degree (1992) plus many extra hours in the field of education with a master’s equivalency. I have earned two bachelor degrees, BA in Elementary Education and BA in Special Education-MR, LD, ED, which has enabled me to gain an understanding of children with special needs.
