A Little Bit About Me...

Growing up with four younger sisters, I have learned the valuable skills of patience and understanding. I approaching teaching and tutoring as a collaborative effort in which I treat each student with dignity and respect. I find treating students as equals while still providing the material in an engaging manner allows the students to grow and find their own voice which has proven to further and better cement the material in the student’s mind.
I have spent much of my time as an undergraduate mentoring underclassmen at ASU, not just to better understand their economics and political science classes, but also how to be a better, well-rounded students. Teaching students is a passion and an art. I approach each situation by trying to understand what stress factors are experienced by the students, as well as how they need to be approached to learn. Some students need to have a direct approach, others need to try on their own and then step by step correct their mistakes to both build up confidence for doing well and understand where they went wrong. I strive to make sure the student understands the process and not just memorizes the answers.

A Little Bit About Me...

In high school I was able to tutor students in all subjects ranging from English to Math to Musical Studies. Furthering my education at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX really opened my eyes and mind to wider ranges of educational foundations. As a double major in Communication and Classical Studies, I was able to get a well rounded education in all subjects. I feel that I am also skilled in math and got a minor in Art History.
