Teaching students is a passion and an art. I approach each situation by trying to understand what stress factors are experienced by the students, as well as how they need to be approached to learn. Some students need to have a direct approach, others need to try on their own and then step by step correct their mistakes to both build up confidence for doing well and understand where they went wrong. I strive to make sure the student understands the process and not just memorizes the answers.
For my BA I decided in my Senior Year that I wanted to get a Masters Degree in Education so I switched my major last minute from Elementary Education with Emphasis in sciences and General Education to a understanding of how people learn. As a Russian linguist I am qualified in a number of English linguistics subjects as well. Continuing that theme, I tutored my peers at law school in property, administrative and contracts law. A Little Bit About Me...

In high school I was able to tutor students in all subjects ranging from English to Math to Musical Studies. Furthering my education at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX really opened my eyes and mind to wider ranges of educational foundations. As a double major in Communication and Classical Studies, I was able to get a well rounded education in all subjects. I feel that I am also skilled in math and got a minor in Art History. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very hands-on, exploratory and structured. I expect my students to work hard, stay focused, and give effort. I am a graduate student at ASU studying Education Administration. I have experience working with students of all ages 5-17.
