As I suffered through my younger years with Attention Deficit Disorder, I feel that it is extremely important to appeal to almost all of the senses when teaching. As for myself, I am definitely a visual learner, so I feel that visual aids are important. I am a big fan of hand outs in full color. You will often find me drawing a picture on the board. I feel it is important to hear it and see it, and if you can, touch it. Another important teaching style I implement, is watching my students and making sure they know how to do it. Going around and walking each student through the process and asking them to do what I did really confirms that the student understands what I have taught them.

Art is my passion! In 2008 I obtained a degree in graphic communications at Clemson. My major required creativity to design certain types of print; such as labels, books, t-shirts, and brochures. I also took photography and art history. Although these classes required artistic talent, my true art education began in high school. I attended the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville for two years. There, I took classes in painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, jewelry, photography, and art history. Since then, I continue to paint, draw, and make jewelry. A Little Bit About Me...

I taught at Brevard High School for 4 years as a Computer Engineering and Networking instructor. I am currently working part time as the Computer Lab Instuctor/IT Tech Support contact at Immaculata Catholic School in Hendersonville, NC. I am looking for part time work to supplement my hours at Immaculata. I also have many years of one on one teaching and training with students, workers, administration, and management.
