I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota, where I earned my BS in Elementary Education. Art is my passion! In 2008 I obtained a degree in graphic communications at Clemson. My major required creativity to design certain types of print; such as labels, books, t-shirts, and brochures. I also took photography and art history. Although these classes required artistic talent, my true art education began in high school. I attended the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville for two years. I taught at Brevard High School for 4 years as a Computer Engineering and Networking instructor. I am currently working part time as the Computer Lab Instuctor/IT Tech Support contact at Immaculata Catholic School in Hendersonville, NC. I am looking for part time work to supplement my hours at Immaculata. I also have many years of one on one teaching and training with students, workers, administration, and management. In other words, I believe I can work with various levels of understanding. I believe that every day offers the opportunity to either learn or teach or both. Although I have been self employed for the last 6 years, I went back to school last year to add Science and Math for middle school to my certification. I passed the Praxis for both of those subjects spring of 2010. I was not able to get a full time teaching position this year. I went back to working for myself but would love to tutor. I have tutored for 3 years while I worked for Tryon Elementary school. I had great success with the students I worked with, in particular concerning math.
