A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently still in high school but I am in the top 10% of my graduating class at John F. Kennedy High School where I am taking 5 college level IB Diploma courses. I have volunteered for years at the elementary school in my neighborhood tutoring kids as well as helping my younger siblings and his friends.
I am a very interactive tutor as I use many example problems and I can relate the things I am explaining to everyday life so that the kid can not only know how to do something but understand why they are doing it which makes it easier for them to remember processes in the future.

I believe that every student can learn more than they think

I have taught for over 30 years in a variety of institutions, but mostly public schools. I am conversant in Spanish and have a broad range of interests and fields of knowledge, including English literature, Math, History, Science, current events and Politics. Students need inspiration!.

I love discovering each individual student and the way to help them learn. My goal is to help students become inspired by their subject matter so that it can play a role in their lives as well as their test scores.
