I taught in two public high schools in Orange and Osceola Counties in the Central Florida area for 5 years where I earned the Professional Educators Certificate to teach mathematics 6 - 12. For the past 10 years, I have been teaching at a Huntington Learning Center while privately tutoring students from the area middle, high school, and community colleges.
My teaching style adapts to the students current level of knowledge. I always model 2 or 3 problems step by step before asking the student to try a problem. A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently the Math Coach at a local Middle School. I have been in the educational field for thirteen years as a math teacher. I have taught mathematics on the high school level and the middle school level. I have prepared students for the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) and I have had great sucess helping students achieve passing scores on this test. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from UCF with a Bachelors in Communicative Disorders (speech therapy). I love english and science and found this to be a perfect mix. I worked with children with language delays in group settings and also tutored children individually. I am currently in the process of obtaining my teaching certificate in science and working towards my masters degree.
I prefer to work with children who have learning disabilities and/or with a dislike for education. I find that my teaching style is interesting to this particular type of student. I acknowledge the childs dismay in learning and I allow them to help me to adjust the teaching material to a teaching style that best suits the childs learning style.
