A Little Bit About Me...

I'm a 27 year old that accepted a part-time internship in Fort Collins, Colorado. Also, I'm in the process of applying for PHD programs (starting in 2011) in hopes of becoming a professor in the long-run. As both a teacher and a tutor, I have found several things to be important to a successful educator. First is engagement. I find it necessary to engage the student and involve them in the lesson. I've found that even something as simple as using props to illustrate a point helps the student understand the material better, but also be more interested in learning. Secondly, I've found that flexibility is also important.
