My teaching style is tailored to each individual student. During our first two sessions, I will be able to determine which teaching methods get the best response. Some students learn kinetically, with lots of motion necessary to avoid boredom, while others must have all their senses stimulated. For each lesson, in order to gauge the response of my student, I include audio/visual for listening skills and oral comprehension, picture identification for level of language skills, singing, repetition for pronunciation and language acquisition, conversation, reading and comprehension, and writing/cloze exercises for production of learning skills. First, and foremost, I attempt to work on the students' confidence. Whenever I tutor, I try to explain to the students that everything in a subject is about a few fundamental topics. Once these topics are understood everything becomes simpler. This applies from writing a paper to doing a math calculation to performing a physics problem. At the teaching center, the focus was to help guide the student to get the correct answer and not just give the answer.
