I have experience teaching English and German (I am a Spanish native speaker though). My best talent is the writing and that is of a great help when it comes to teaching a language. I taught English in Colombia and Spanish in Germany which gave me the experience necessary to transmit what I know in the best way possible. I learnt German in Germany to an extend that I helped my friends to improve theirs. I know the difficulties of the German language and based on my own learning experience I can teach that language knowing how to tackle those difficulties. I think it is very important to meet the student at their level of interest and need. If the primary goal is simply getting enough experience to do well on a test or excel in a class, I focus on nemonic aids or other techniques (depending on the students learning style) to ensure success with this shorter term goal. I like to work one on one with students, however I'm open to group settings. I'm adaptive to how the student learns and try to work from there. I'm an English education major currently attending Western Michigan University to earn my degree. Before starting at Western I attended Jackson College, where I excelled in my writing classes and was asked to become a writing fellow. Through this program I worked with students at the college answering questions and helping them with any and all works of writing.
