Experience Summary
Mandarin Chinese is my passion; after spending nearly five years immersed in the Chinese culture studying, living and working in Taiwan, I've returned my homeland and am ready to impart my knowledge of this incredible people, their history, and their language. I have extensive experience as a language tutor, and have successfully taught all ages and ranges of fluency, from 3 years old to 30. As a student of Mandarin later in life, I have the privilege of knowing what my students experience and what they're up against when learning this fascinating and wildly different language.
Teaching Style
Based on the student's goals, I piece together a curriculum that could be solely verbal communication or entirely written comprehension, or a solid mixture of all forms.
My Hobbies
Self-care through whole foods, cooking for friends and strangers, Chinese history studies, artistic endeavors.
