I was a private tutor in Italy. I mainly taught English privately to high school students. Teaching Italian happened few times and usual was about literature and poetry, but my school education (university and senior high school) allowed me to get a deep knowledge of my native language and culture. .
I like to take advantage of the new technologies. The learning of the grammar is supported by the use of music, movies and books. Several exercise will be executed using these kind of materials as well as normal written and oral exercise.

A Little Bit About Me...

I studied European Languages since the age of 14, starting at the Licee (a kind of school that does not exist in this country) with Latin and Ancient Greek. I continued on at the University with an in depth study of Eastern European languages, Russian and Polish, and eventually studied also French. In Italy I acquired the title of Doctor in Russian Language and Literature. After moving to this country I taught Italian at UC Berkeley and George Washington University in Washington DC. I also had experience in private tutoring both for adults and younger adults. I feel very comfortable with languages and their structure.

My study of language has always been linked to teaching, beginning at Pennsylvania State University, where I earned 2 Bachelor's degrees in French and Italian. It was there that I began tutoring students privately, and as a contracted NCAA athlete tutor. I earned a 3.8 GPA, and a 4.0 equivalent GPA while studying abroad in Paris in 2005. Upon my return to the states, I matriculated into an MA/PhD program at Boston University. There, too, the art of educating was a central focus for me; the university even hired me as an adjunct to teach French language courses. I have since acquired my MA teaching license and work full-time in the Northbridge, MA school district, teaching high school French levels 1-4 at both the Honors and CP levels.
