I believe in being honest about my critiques to the person's writing and being a fair judge all to help the student improve his or her skills so they can become not just good but great at what they are doing. First teaching job was in a school for severely autistic children. After being there for a year I taught in a residential home for boys. This was challenging but probably one of my favorite jobs as a teacher. Because of the distance from home to work (about 1-1/2 hrs.), I applied at an urban school 20 minutes from my home.
