A Little Bit About Me...

I feel that all students learn differently and for that my teaching styles vary. I am a visual person so; I that all children can learn when shown examples of what I am trying to teach them. I am very hands-on as a teacher and I want your child to be involved in their learning. Above all, I love children and I feel that all children can learn if just given a chance.
In 2006, I earned my bachelors degree in Elementary Education K- 8th grades. My cognate was concentrated in the Socials Studies areas. I have a great love of history and always traveling to learn more about interesting parts of the country. After graduation, I taught Commercial Science grades 6th thru 8th in a middle school. I have taught computers for the past two years in the same school. I have also substituted in all grades and all subjects.

I have worked in the public school setting over the past 14 years in grades pk through 8th grade. I have worked as an early childhood teacher, an administrator, P.E. teacher, and tutor. I have a genuine passion for working with children and seeing them be successful. Hands-on with visuals and manipulatives. Kids learn by doing and actively engaging themselves in learning. This is a good picture of my teaching style. I love teaching children with a robust flavor of learning. Make it fun, and children usually will remember how they have learned a new skill. I taught fifth grade for many years and was always the testing grade for the state of Oklahoma. I have many years of experience in preparing students for testing.
