I have many and varied experiences in teaching music in the public schools and privately for over 30 years. I have my bachelors degree in music education-k-12 and I have almost finished my Master's degree in Music Education. My teaching experience includes classroom, vocal-choral, piano and band. During my years teaching in the public school system, I volunteered often for after-school activities organized in order to tutor the students in math, science, english, etc. I have also been a substitute teacher and have experience teaching several subjects which also included special education and emotional behavioral disabled children. I have two Master degrees along with a Bachelor degree, with particular teaching emphases in History and English grammar and composition. I have experience teaching English, tutoring international students, and, I recently served as a weekly newspaper columnist for two years. I then went out east to nanny for identical twins with Down Syndrome for a year which gave me experience with children not only academically but on a day to day basis as well as rooted me well in understanding children with special needs. Although I have recently graduated with a degree in business, I am interested in pursuing a career involving people. My previous employment was a sales position that was very customer-oriented. I also have 3 years of experience helping children by teaching swimming lessons. Assisting my 15-year-old sister with her school work is also a regular activity.
