I am able to drive to your home, meet you on campus or even a library. I attended a highly selective boarding school in Delaware where my learning and group think skills were developed. I have had to balance extracurricular activities with school for many years and I understand how instrumental a tutor can be in the learning process. I take a hands on approach to teaching. The best way to learn is by using a three step program. 1) Explain and project the information onto the student, 2) Work the problem out with the student, and 3) Supervise as the student attempts the problem individually. A math tutor's job is to get you unstuck (or in some cases get you started). Sometimes that's just pointing out mistakes, and sometimes there's a weak spot in your background that needs cleared up before you can go any further.
