A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that there is no such thing as a "bad" student/child. There are children that need more help and attention than others but everyone deserves the same amount of effort. I am very patient and laid back and really want to provide the best care possible to all children that I teach. I believe that students learn best when they are completely involved in the lesson. I like hands-on activities and less lecturing. The children that I teach now could testify to my ability to bring humor into the classroom and to make sure that learning is fun.

Each of my students has a different modality of acquiring and retaining information, so I assess that style and present instruction in a way that is meaningful. My work towards a master's degree in special education highlighted the various ways in which a student gains knowledge. I use that information to engage and educate my students.
