I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and have worked extensively with and for children including a Case Manager at Clay County Behavioral. I have always wanted to be a teacher so earned my Teaching Certification through St. John's River Community College in ESE and Pre-K through 3rd Grade. I have been a teacher's assistant at Wilkinson Elementary in the Trainable/Profoundly Handicapped class and am now in my 2nd year at Shadowlawn Elementary working with the Hearing Impaired assisting in all subjects. My comments on tutoring Special Education : I am very familiar with helping students with ADD/ADHD and dyslexia. I also teach students with autism on a daily basis. I am a certified Special Education teacher K-12 in the state of Florida. I also have my BA in Special Education.

I have been working as a teacher for three years now. I enjoy working in a private school setting (two years experience) because I can devote more time to lesson planning, after school, and creating individualized/small group curriculum as there are less students in the private school I teach at. I am the Reading Specialist and I love my job. I myself had to learn to cope with dyslexia and ADHD. I know what students are going through because I have experienced it first hand. I am currently attending ITT-Technical Institute in Jacksonville, Florida for an A.S. in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. I currently have 72 completed credit hours. My college grade point average is currently 3.53. After finishing up my A.S. (six more credit hours), I plan to further my education at Ellis University online for a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Math and Physics. My entire senior year of high school, I tutored Algebra I and Algebra II students.
