My teaching style varies according to the different areas of need in each child. No one child is the same, and they all learn in different manners. I approach the student with a safe and clean environment in which they feel the most comfortable learning. A method that works best for them and a friendly approach that makes them understand I care about them and am there to help. I keep in mind that every child has a different way in which to reach goals, so I provide each child with an individualized goal sheet.
As a daughter of an elementary education teacher, I have been driven by a passion to teach children in areas where they show need. I am in my second year in Northern Arizona University with junior credits. As a new teacher in Arizona I just finished my first year in teaching in schools around the Yuma area. I was privileged enough to teach many different grades, cultures, and socioeconomic statuses as well as numerous learning levels. I have developed many skills and taken a particular interest in tutoring English and Reading as well as Math and Social Studies. I have gathered much knowledge about all subject areas at the elementary and high school levels. My knowledge, passion, and dedication has helped many students overcome trouble areas and encouraged them to progress farther than they felt they were able to before.
