I take more of an inquiring approach and I become more of the facilitator and guide and direct my students by asking questions, exploring options, suggesting alternatives, and encouraging them to develop criteria to make informed choices. My Overall goal is to develop in students the capacity for independent action, initiative, and responsibility. I work with my students on projects in a consultative fashion and I try to provide as much support and encouragement as possible. I feel the advantage to this teaching style is the personal flexibility, the focus on student's needs and goals, and the willingness to explore options and alternative courses of action.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have many college credits towards my BA degree from Southern Connecticut state university and middlesex community college. I have been on the dean's list, and have been teaching for one year as a sub in the wallingford, CT school system. I have previoius teaching experience being a bible study teacher and girl scout leader. I am the mother of 14 year old twins boy/girl who I also teach at home.
I love teaching and working with children. I believe children can learn, and love to learn if we are patient with them. I have also had experience teaching children with special needs (ADHD, Early Learning needs) as my son has ADHD and I also taught a class with ADHD children. My goal is to provide the best educational needs to all students of all ages.
