Hey! My names Bethy! I'm 13 years old and in 8th grade. I've been tutoring since I was in 5th grade. I can tutor all ages in almost any subject. Last year I had the highest GPA in my whole school! I love teaching anyone who is willing to learn! I also teach children with learning disabilities and special needs.
I am very laid back and flexible. While I might be calm I only have 3 rules, 1. Be respectful, 2. the words "I can't" are not allowed :), and 3. have fun! I tend to create games based on the skills that are being taught and I'm not into lecturing, my approach is very hands. Learning can be fun!

A Little Bit About Me...

I had once been told by a very seasoned teacher that "If you can not go through the front door find an open window." She opened my eyes to creative, and interesting ways to stimulate young minds. I love helping children learn, and finding their open window. A great teacher can incorporate different styles of teaching to adapt to a child's learning ability.

My passion is teaching, it always has been. If I could describe my teaching style in one word, it would be caring. Children need to be cared for and know that they can trust you as their teacher. I do enjoy helping anyone write a well developed and educated paper on the topic at hand. My specific style of teaching, especially for the 8th grade, is to read the current book being used, and then present my lesson with lecture, interactive discussion and comprehension, based on the age and grade of the student. I like to put the lesson into terms that the age group can relate to, and then assign a memory technique that will teach the students to recall the proper answer by using the examples we have discussed in class. That is the same method that I use myself when I need to write a paper. I read it, analyze it, comprehend it, and then write a paper based on what I can relate it too.
