I truly and honestly enjoy working with children of all ages to help them achieve their highest potential. I am highly efficient at helping students with homework, understanding lessons, and prepping for examinations. When working with young children (grades k-6), I try and make learning as fun and relaxing as possible. Young children also need a lot of attention to ensure they remain focused on the task at hand. When working with young adults (grades 7-12), I try to do my very best to explain subjects as thorough as possible. I also like to take subjects one step further by using analogies to bring concepts into a form that is easier to understand and more relevant to their lifestyle.

A Little Bit About Me...

Working as a tutor has given me the opportunity to demonstrate great leadership among my peers and students while creating a positive environment. During my experience as a tutor I was able to incorporate knowledge that I obtained in my field of study, into my many tutoring sessions. I have also been able to utilize my techniques and skills learned throughout college as an aide to helping students succeed in their education. I have become quite familiar in the areas of chemistry, biology, microbiology, and parasitology and have been able to utilize my knowledge in these subjects to enhance my tutoring skills. What is needed? I like an inclusive interactive style that directly involves the learner. I like to evaluate performance in a varety of methods to determine actual learning. As a University Instructor I was known for being fun, approachable and honest and a hard grader.
I have taught 4 upper division business courses at the University of Arizona: Management and Organizational Behavior, strategy (Eller capstone course Management Policies), business environments and employment law (The Legal, Political and Social Environments of Business), and statistics (Statistical Inferences in Management). I left a Ph.D. program in Organizational Behavior (think Management)with a MS to care for family. I have been a substitute teacher for K-8th grade. I have followed a successful 12+ year career in Human Resource Management and now own my own HR Consulting firm.
