I am a hands on teacher. Most of the students I have taught, have not reached the analysis state of learning. This has always been my goal, to teach the student to think for his or her self. I do not give extensive lectures, I find that it just befuddles the student. I give facts to learn, and the we apply those facts to a hands on setting for application. I believe this backs up the theoretical book learning, and gives the student confidence in the work he or she does. Helping children with math applications are considered very important in our environment here in the United States of America. My emphasis is class discussion. I engage students to participate in class and in small group projects. I offer one on one tutoring outside of class I orchestrate mentoring to enable those who have a command of the material to offer support to those who may need additonal guidance outside of class.
