I like to share my passion that comes from the pure enjoyment of understanding a subject and sharing this passion with my students. As an engineer I try to show the practical application of concepts, and from my interests in history and literature I try to provide an historical context to the development of the concept being taught. I believe in the innate ability of all students to learn, although of course not all learn at the same pace - I believe the key is to relate the subject matter to the student's life experiences and thus make the connection where learning is possible.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style starts usually with a question to spark and interest, or perhaps another question. I idenify with the audience and that is extremely helpful. I am patient and enjoy when a student finds confidence by learning something new. I use some props and examples to aid a particular subject, and I speak English very well so there is no miscommunication.
I am interested in working again as a Mathematics Tutor, I've had a very enriching previous experience from former employers at Colorado State University-Pueblo, where I've obtained two degrees, a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S.B.A. in Economics. I love education and working along with others. I'm very passionate in continually cultivating myself and growing, in fact, my last employer hired me to teach English in Taiwan! A Little Bit About Me...

My principle idea of teaching is that no one learns the same. Having tutored a wide variety of students taught me that I have to be flexible and adaptive in explaining the subject. This allows me to adapt to the student I am tutoring in order to help them achieve their desired goal in understanding the subject.
I began tutoring mathematics when I was still a student and this allows me to relate to the students. During the past three years I have tutored a wide range of mathematic subjects ranging from high school geometry and algebra to college differential equations. I have specifically spent the majority of my time tutoring students in college algebra. After obtaining my mathematics degree, it enabled me to gain a better understanding of math that allows me to translate such a difficult subject to students.
