Although I am advanced as far as the subject areas I would be tutoring in are concerned, I am still able to present the content to the student in the unique way that they are able to understand it. This is important, since no two students think alike and, in my experience, a majority of students do have trouble with math and math-intensive sciences such as physics. I work on a first-name basis and try to make sure that the student is LEARNING, rather than merely finishing his/her homework. I have been an aerospace engineer for Boeing for three years. I love to learn math, and at the same time, it's a pleasure for me to teach math to others. When studying at MIT, I spent a year tutoring calculus, SAT II math, and logic. The tutoring felt easy and satisfying. I loved it.
I am a very patient tutor because I believe everyone can start as a blank slate and become a math expert. I feel that the foundational blocks of math often are not communicated well to students.
