I have taught over 34 years, mostly in all areas of Mathematics. As a Physics major I have a deep understanding of both mathematics and multiple fields of science. During my time as both a high school and college student I have tutored privately in subjects such as: Physics I and II; College Algebra, Calculus I, II and III; Differential Equations and many more upper-level physics and math courses. I have recently passed the Advanced Mathematics (11) Oklahoma Subject Area Test (OSAT) with a score of 295, with a maximum possible score of 300.

I began tutoring at a program called Tuesday Tutors which provides free-of-charge tutoring to all students Junior High level and above (although we often helped out Elementary students who stopped by). Teaching is a passion, or even a way of life for me. I believe that students learn mathematics by actively participating in problems. It does little when an instructor simply demonstrates how to work through a problem. What I find to be very effective is to follow the two step method: work a problem and then have the student work in the same way.
