My previous career included 27 years in the television industry at various local production facilities in Oklahoma, Texas, Maryland as well as the Washington DC bureau of the ABC Network. Because of my experience in teaching my own children, I have discovered that no child is too young to learn. Often people will not consider an infant or toddler a "functioning human being" until the child can speak. This is so inaccurate! I taught one of my daughters to read at age four. My teaching style is to engage the student on a personal level through cheerful conversation and sharing of interests, then to assess learning styles, strengths, and challenges.
