Composition is one of my top subjects! My award-winning writing career spans 38 years. Accolades include a Katie Award and three “Council for Advancement and Support of Education” awards. My comments on tutoring Composition : There are rules and formulas to composition. Learn those and let your ideas fly.

My style of teaching is real-world understanding and application firmly based on theory. In other words, I teach how to accomplish each element, but why it is important to do so. In my instruction, I establish goals and create achievable steps for the student to follow in order to achieve those goals.
I spent over 20 years as a graphic designer for various colleges and universities. In that time I used my office as an educational opportunity for my student assistants, but I always had the desire to teach.
