I have taught children and adults of all different ages and coming from all different backgrounds. This has helped me to create a very versatile style of teaching. For example, I believe that visual learning is very effective with many students. With these students, especially young children, I like to use colorful materials in order to spark interest and encourage creativity. I also feel that a learning environment with few distractions yet full of activities and study aids is key to creating a healthy and relaxed atmosphere. A Little Bit About Me...

Working with young adults to increase their understanding of a foreign language has always been my passion. I have found a new level of commitment and compassion through this type of work experience. As a university student I began what would be a lifelong journey into tutoring and teaching. I began tutoring college level Spanish during my freshman year in college. My students ranged greatly in their level of proficiency, which allowed me to increase my flexibility and teaching methodology. After earning a dual degree in Management and Spanish, I went on to work in the Business field. During this time, I dedicated more time to working in an office setting, and less time to teaching. Having worked with aspiring GED students for the last 2 years I have real experience with a varied student base. Within the enclosed resume packet, I’ve included a detailed description of this experience.
