My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : I am certified to teach high school math in the state of Ohio.

I want my students to be able to make sense out of concepts. Once they relate to the topic the fundimentals of working with the concepts is more realistic. I general guide the student to help them develope the concepts.

For individualized instruction I mainly use a questioning process to lead individual students to discover how to process the math problems. This has them involved with building the solutions to the various problems and helps reinforce what they already know. I then instruct on the areas they do not understand or struggle getting this helps focus my efforts on their needs.
