I enjoy teaching students how to learn. Learning strategies teach students how to learn proficiently and quickly. Consider the following illustration. A student can take a football and run toward the goal line. He who runs efficiently and smartly (avoiding players whose goal is to tackle him) will cross the goal line. Discipline and strategy are essential to effective learning. Most students do not plan to fail their subjects, they fail to plan study techniques. I am a patient and easy going person with students. I have always been interested in science and using that science to benefit humanity. In college I pursued a bachelor degree in Biology and was president of molecular/mircobiology club and was an anatomy, organic chemistry, and physics tutor. As an undergraduate I was able to be involved in forensic DNA research. After graduating I entered medical school where I have pursued research interests in pediatric infectious diseases, and middle ear dysfunction. In medical school I tutored students in pathology and pharmacology. My passions are teaching and patient care.
I have a teaching style that is very adaptive to any individual. I am very patient and understanding that multiple approachs to grasp a subject may need to happen. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that everybody can learn and comprehend math. Math is an intimidating subject for most people, so my goal as a teacher is to show my students that it is more like a puzzle. With all puzzles, you just need to know the steps to solving it in order to be successful, and my job is to teach these steps. It bothers me when people say how much they hate math, so when I’m working with students, my goal is to make my students never feel intimidated. I do this by giving them real-world examples to show them that they can succeed if they can see it apply to their life. I think with the right instruction, anybody can learn math and be successful.
