Socratic, I like the students to build on what they already know so that it becomes an extension of their long term memory not another short term memory soon forgotten. In a word, my teaching style is Socratic. Often that means I respond to a student’s question with a question that enables them to figure out answers for themselves. Other times, my questions are designed to stimulate ideas beyond the student’s view so they need to “stretch” a bit.
