My teaching style is direct, engaging, challenging, and encouraging. My approach to instructing and enabling each individual is different. It develops as I continue to learn about the individual's own learning style and how the individual responds to different teaching styles.
I believe that a child learns best when she makes the discovery, realization, or solves the problem herself. I therefore strive to enable the learner through the deduced means that the particular circumstance dictates. I strive to help the learner succeed and thereafter congratulate & continue to challenge.
My experience with tutoring ranges from being tutored in middle school at Sylvan Learning Center (due to not being challenged enough in my private school classroom) to tutoring fellow classmates and my friends' younger siblings in a range of subjects during high school and college.
