I have been tutoring for many years with different kinds of children. To begin with, I tutored my younger sister starting when she was about seven years old to age twelve or thirteen. In high school, I also volunteered for an after-school program for Hispanic children ages seven-twelve where I helped them with their homework in various subjects. In addition, I spent about four months tutoring a severely autistic child, teaching him different communication skills and helping him to form patterns. I have always been an 'A' student and I excel in math, science, English, foreign languages, and history. I really enjoy teaching kinds. I like to demonstrate and explain to my students with some simple examples which can be visualized from the world. The reason I love teaching is because of I can communicate with my students and inspire them to think the idea behind the knowledge they have learned. I enjoy working with all children. During the past twenty years, I had the opportunity to work with very diverse students from kindergarten to 6th grade. Given the right instruction, I believe that all students can learn. As a reading specialist, I have seen students go from struggling readers to confident readers. Over the course of my career, I have taught at just about every level, from middle school to graduate school.
