I use note-cards and mnemonics. I'm also fond of repetition (which will allow the student to obviously retain the information) and often do reviews at the end of a session to further examine what said student is struggling with.

I have tutored since my 7th grade year at the public library and have been tutoring ever since. I want to expand my groups and help kids success in school no matter what subject it is. I attended a math academy when I was little, Kumon, and now I want to create something like that. I have had a lot of experience with kids because I have volunteered at many hospitals around in Katy, I am a member of the Red Cross Association, and I babysit occasionally. I began tutoring people when I was in the eigth grade. I decided I wanted to help out at the school across the street from my middle school in Colorado. I enrolled in a class that allowed us to go and assist the teachers and help the students. I fell in love with kids then for sure.
