I have been an educator in the field of education for the past 21 years. Three of those years were spent in upper elementary in the area of Language Arts. Nine of those years were spent in a first grade classroom were reading with a phonics approach ws used in cross curricular subjects daily. The remainder of the years of service has been spent as an elementary principal or a superintendent. My teaching style is has proven to work with many students. The most important issue with tutoring is to identify where the student has the most difficulty. In the past 28 years I have enjoyed watching the young kindergarten student grow and learn. I believe that all children can learn, but as adults we have to allow them to learn at their pace. During and after earning my degree, I spent almost nine years working in healthcare as a medical assistant, teaching patients in a one on one environment.
