I am 20 years old. I graduated from high school with honors. I was in advanced english. I also graduated with honors from Madison-Oneida BOCES. I am currently in college for Business Management, and I am also studying Psychology. When I finish I want to work with teenagers. Everyone goes through a hard time when they are teenagers, and I believe I can help. I have an older brother who was struggling through high school, and I helped him to graduate. My younger sister is now in high school, and I help her anytime she needs it.
I love teaching and helping kids. I have been around a lot of kids all my life, and maybe I am not a people person, but kids seem to love me. I started off college at Mohawk Valley Community College and earned a Liberal Arts and Science degree. I feel that all college students should be well rounded and should take a wide variety of courses. I then enrolled at Utica College to finish my BS degree. Over those two years, I took 18 science courses and most of them were accompanied by labs. It was stressful and difficult but it was something I was determined to complete. I thought I wanted to go to medical school, but later decided against it. Also during my time at Utica College, I conducted medical research with Aspartame and Omeprazole on mice. A Little Bit About Me...

In college, I in part supported myself by tutoring in math and organic chemistry. I have earned a BS in Biology and a Doctorate in Medicine (but I am retired from clinical practice). My education has given me expertise in the areas of biology, chemistry, math and anatomy. I have supplemented this knowlege with self study in grammar and creative writing. I have won writing contest and have published many letters to the editor. During the last 6 years I have tutored students seeking to obtain their GED, in all subject areas.

I love to help a student work their way through any difficulty they are having in any of the major subjects. It is always a challenge to direct the students learning and not do the work for them. But it is a good challenge! While I was a supervisor in the ACE based Christian school, I helped many of the students in the school to understand the areas, especially of math and science, where they had difficulty. Most recently I had the challenge of tutoring my wife, who is working on her Bachelors in Healthcare Management, through Business Math and Business Algebra. Again I state that it can prove to be a great challenge, to let her do the work, and not me.
