TOEFL is one of my top subjects!

I have been an educator for the past 8 years, serving as an elementary teacher, middle and high school teacher, and ESL teacher. I have also taught online and in a tutoring company. I am a big believer in individualized instruction, and I think tutoring is one of the best ways for a student to learn. I have some unique teaching experiences in international schools in Macedonia, and I have also taught in Thailand and the U.S. I am passionate about learning and I love seeing my students succeed in their own academic/language endeavors!

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a qualified teacher in both Elementary Education and ESL. I have a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language and 6 years of teaching experience at a university in the Middle East. For the past year I've tutored Germans in English, tailoring lessons to individual needs. My strengths are in grammar, writing, and listening skills. My bachelor’s degree is in Elementary Education (K-8), and I have tutored elementary and middle school students in Math and English. With my Bachelor's degree, I began tutoring through Reading Success and conducted private tutoring of Georgia History. I progressed to teaching English, Spanish, and some Special Education Resource classes at the High School level, and continued to teach lower level English classes at a local college along with reading in an Adult Continuing Education program through another college. My writing skills have been sharpened as I edited and wrote articles for newsletters, newspaper releases, and in an administrative capacity.
I enjoy teaching and do my best to make learning fun and easy for my pupils. I approach lessons by letting the student realize how and why the lesson is important and how it relates to their lives. I firmly believe everyone can learn; the style in which they learn may differ from others, but given the correct approach, all teachers/tutors can be successful.
