Trained in common core and collaboration techniques, including "close reading". Was private tutor in mid 1990's while teaching at a Christian school. I have successfully completed a Beacon tutor course in preparation for individual and group tutor sessions. I led a semester long Beacon tutoring supplement course in Organic Chemistry that supported 20 junior college students. I have effectively tutored/mentored a number of high school students in general education coursework, organizational skills, and in preparation for exit examinations.
