I believe I have a talent to find the "disconnect" in where a student is missing the concept and help them to understand it through a variety of examples and analogies. PCAT is one of my top subjects! I scored in the 96th percentile on the PCAT test in 2012. My scores were as followed: Composite– 96*, Verbal Ability – 96*, Biology – 95*, Reading Comprehension – 94*, Quantitative Ability – 88*, Chemistry – 88*, Writing – 4 (test takers mean was 3.27)(*Scores are in percentiles).

Studies show that students learn best by teaching. I utilize this by having the student teach the subject back to me and correcting them as they do. I pay attention to parts the student is incorrect in and clarify those sections for them. I also believe that a good way to learn is through practice and I help the student go through several practice questions, particularly sections that the student is having problems in. I pay attention to trends in mistakes the student is making and help them pay more attention to prevent these mistakes.
