I certainly strive for having my students to understand the concept of the subject, rather than memorizing every step of a given process. Understanding the basics will give you the tools to solve or analyze a problem for a possible solution and that will lead you to more successful results.
I had the opportunity of tutoring college algebra and basics of statistics during 2003 and 2004 while pursuing my Master of Business Administration degree at Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska. Also had the opportunity of being teacher assistant for geometry during my Junior year while taking my bachelor degree. Currently I manage a retail store for a Fortune 100 company and I just finished a concentration on Finances to add to my MBA degree.

A Little Bit About Me...

I like instructing using the latest visual tools. I like to make math alive, taking the abstractness of calculus and transforming it into something that is visual. I enjoy working with gifted middle school or high school age students.
As a graduate of F.A.U, I was very much driven to learn programming and prograaming languages, applying Mathematics and Algorithms to real time problems. During my 30 years as a consultant I taught several classes related to game theory and applied Calculus. I am current a member of Toastmasters international and enjoy public speaking as well as instructing and mentoring other club members. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style has evolved as I gained more experience. I have always been interactive with students in the classroom through projects, cases, and role-playing. In later years, I have made extensive use of materials and videos on the Internet. For example, when working one-on-one with a learner, I have found it effective to use interesting questions and problems which require the learner to work through the material. I support this with videos on the Internet that either introduce and describe the material or demonstrate to the learner that he or she has learned the material.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a former paraprofessional with a Master's Degree in Social Work I have worked with kids in the past behaviorally and academically. I have a solid grasp of English, Grammar, Social Studies, and Mathematics.
I enjoy working with children of all ages. I feel my career in social work has allowed me to become more centered on compassion as a means of education, and engaging the child in the learning process while being compassionate. Children typically learn best when in a positive, comfortable situation. I would like them to feel comfortable enough to feel like they can be their best around me.
